Senior Pastor, Preacher, Author, Christian Educator and Worship Leader
LIFE
Bishop Juandolyn Stokes spent most of her early life in her hometown of Savannah, Georgia, where she was nurtured in her Christian walk and Christian ministry by her parents - Deacon Thomas Stokes and the late, Elder Helen Stokes. Upon high school graduation, she moved to Atlanta, Georgia to pursue a Broadcast Management degree from Clark Atlanta University. She graduated from Beulah Heights University with an Associate and Bachelor of Arts degree in Biblical Education. Later, she received her seminary training from the Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta, Ga., and graduated with honors with a Master of Arts in Christian Education and a Master of Divinity.
EDUCATOR
She has always championed education and has dedicated part of her life’s vocation to training and teaching. Bishop Stokes is an adjunct professor at Beulah Heights Bible College and teaches Biblical Education courses such as Systematic Theology, Urban Evangelism, and Expository Teaching. She was also a TA at the Interdenominational Theological Center courses such as Christian Education and Youth Ministry.
Throughout the year church leaders have called on Bishop Stokes to teach and train pastors, ministers, and staff, ranging from topics such as: Leading in the 21st Century, Evangelism, Understanding Your Purpose, as well as deep dives into Psalm, The Synoptic Gospels, Major/Minor Prophets, Revelation, and the Theology and Psychology of Praise - to name a few.
She has authored such books as What Have I Been Called to Do, Am I That Woman, The Prayer Closet and Psalms: A Preparatory Study of the Book of Psalms.
MUSIC & COMMUNITY
Juandolyn Stokes in actively involved in the evolution of gospel music. For 12 years, she served as Vice President of Marketing for gospel label - Atlanta International Records, working with such artists are Dottie Peoples, Wilmington Chester Mass Choir, Luther Barnes, etc. As Marketing Specialist for Star Song Gospel, she has worked with artists like Richard Smallwood, Kirk Franklin, Thomas Whitfield, etc. She has a rich foundation in Gospel radio – Stellar Award Gospel Announcer Award Recipient, Gospel Announcer of the Year Award (GMWA) and WCLK Radio in Atlanta, hosting “Joy in the Morning” for 15+ years. She is often called upon to serve as Mistress of Ceremonies for concerts and special events.
Each day she engages communities across the country each day on News & Talk 1380 WAOK with her show ON POINT with Juandolyn Stokes. Her love for reaching people and helping them live better lives go beyond the radio waves. For the last two years she extended her hands of service across the world as a part of a mission team to provide leadership development and training for Pastors in Ghana, provided computers to local elementary and middle schools, and served as a trainer at the Hope Institute, a Ghanaian Bible College. Bishop Stokes has a pure heart for God and passion to see people, build and foster their walk with Christ. She carries this out through her Shepard ship, caring for souls through prayer, compassion and love. Her heart’s desire each day is to help people come to know Christ, and make sure they learn of HIS love for us!
